The vision and mission of the company is clarified through its name, doonbeyt, which is comprised of the Armenian and Arabic words for home. A home marks a microcosmic presence in the macrocosm, and doonbeytdesign creates timeless architectural existences of endless dimensions through its various projects.

The founders of the company, namely, brothers Vicken and Raffi Tarkhanian, are of Lebanese – Armenian origin, who, in an attempt to continue the architectural legacy of their grandfather, created this company, based in Beirut, in the year 2000. The company has implemented important projects in both the Public and Private sectors in the MENA and European regions such as:

The company has contributed to the design and development of several award-winning competitions such as the International Property Awards in London. It has also recently been awarded the ARSHILE GORKY medals for the conceptual design, renovation, and construction of the Orphans’ Museum in Byblos, Lebanon.

Staying true to its mission and vision, doonbeytdesign serves the community through supporting and sponsoring youth sports teams. Furthermore, it wholeheartedly donates its design skills to create humanitarian projects and serves in non-profit organizations.
